Two Weeks Old

Well, after two weeks, I think we're finally getting the hang of this baby thing. I'm feeling more confidant in my mothering skills, and we're starting to get out of the house. We haven't debuted at church yet, but we've been seeing people in small groups. Calyn (CAL-yn, as in "California" and "Calcium") is starting to develop her own personality. She is a very impatient eater and hates when we have to break for burping. She'll pop her head up and fling herself back in protest. She's also a snuggler. There's nothing like a good hug to put her right to sleep. After a full belly and dry diaper, she's content with chillin' on the floor taking in all the sights. She'll lay for an hour or two gazing out the window at all the light and shadows. She's a very happy baby (when we're not burping!) and we love having her in our home.

P.S. Don't ask me what's up with her hands!!! Maybe she's a "She-Ra" fan...

Great pictures you guys. She is stunning - just absolutely stunning. . . Truly beautiful. And she couldn't have better parents. Thanks for keeping all of us updated.

Calyn is such a ham! In almost every picture she has her hands up like she's doing 'the wave'. Maybe she's practicing for when Aaron takes her to a Soccer game. Go team! She is so precious! And it sounds like she has a flair for the dramatic... *sigh* Can't wait to meet her!
