L: Mom, I want the cat out.
J: Why?
L: Because I don't want him to eat on my penis.
*"Not soft puppy" is your description for the Original Puppy.
* You love Angry Birds and Star Wars. We are a little worried because Darth Vader is your favorite:)

Logan
I gave him chocolate milk last night for dinner, and his reply was, "that's what I was ba-specting."
I want to remember...
...that Logan's favorite place to play with his cars is here.
...and that Harper used to be this little.

Harper notes
July 9: first time "slept through the night" midnight to 6:30 am!! Hasn't done it again, but it's a light at the end of the tunnel.
July 11: first smiles while focusing on me and Aaron.

Making Father's Day presents
The kids had fun making their presents for Aaron. We served him French toast in bed, gave him a Centennial US soccer jersey, made BBQ ribs for dinner and arroz con leche for dessert. All that cooking about killed me, being 9 months pregnant with a sinus infection to top it off. Today is Tuesday and I just barely finished washing the dishes from Sunday.
But he is totally worth it. He's the best father, husband, and friend I could ever ask for:) Love you Aaron Scot!

Calyn's Door
Her bedroom door is a place for her "collectibles." There have been numerous Chuck E Cheese pictures, coloring pages, dead butterflies, bird feathers, etc. posted on that door. We recently cleaned off the door to make room for more stuff. The first new item was this sign. At first it said, "No Logan" but I made her change it because it was kinda rude to her little brother. Plus, he sleeps in there so it's impossible to banish him. So, she changed "Logan" to "food." Ha ha.

I just witnessed history
Cal and Log are outside playing on the water slide today. I was looking out the window and saw her hug Logan and then give him a kiss! I know they love each other, but I've never seen them express it without our prompting. "Give your brother/sister a hug goodnight." Melts my heart.

Last night
Calyn fell asleep, and Logan pretended he was asleep so Aaron would carry him to bed. Eyes closed and smiling:)
My "first" child in a lot of ways
Logan is our second child. But, in a lot of ways, he is our first. First to get stitches. First to color on the walls. A few months ago our ward had an Easter party. We were out of town, so Bishop gave our kids their goodie bags the next Sunday. Inside those bags were little self-inking stamps. That same Sunday Logan disappeared at home for a little while. I didn't take notice because he sometimes does this to play with his cars or read books. He came back in to the living room and had this "look" on his face. I knew he had done something naughty. As I walk down the hallway I see little orange flower stamps EVERYWHERE. On the walls, in the bathroom, on the mirror, on the TOILET, in the bathtub, on the shampoo bottles, on the cabinets, ALL over Calyn's room: walls, doll house, toys, bed, AND all over his room: walls, play kitchen, dressers, and toys. You get the picture. There were HUNDREDS. He told me he was making things "beautiful."
So, I spent about a half an hour with the Clorox Cleanup scrubbing stamps off everything. Then, just yesterday, I opened Calyn's CD player and found, guess what? An orange flower stamp on the CD.

Easy, cheap summer fun
I had a doctor's appointment today, so the kids played at the Burch's house. They obviously didn't miss me.

Houston trip
Prior to taking a 24 hour road trip to Gatlinburg TN, we added an eight hour road trip to Houston with some of our favorite people the Burches. We went to an Astros game Friday night complete with fireworks. Then yesterday we swam at the pool, visited the Children's Museum, and ate Greek food. Quick, but fun trip. Now to pack for Gatlinburg.

Beef O'Brady's
Every time, and I mean EVERY time, Logan without fail will get a "Real Estate Guide" as we walk out. I wonder if he's trying to move out...
NOT a school night
Last day of kindergarten. Kinda sad for me. That means Calyn is in first grade now. She's getting bigger and bigger as the days go by.
Today Aaron took Logan for a daddy-son outing. They went to the bike shop, bowling, and then Dairy Queen.
I took Calyn for a "Last Day of School" pedicure. Then we met up with the boys for a pizza dinner before Aaron had to leave for Bishopric visits.
The kids are now watching Brave while I "think" about packing for our marathon trips starting tomorrow. My To Do list is too long, and my energy is too spent.
It should be fun though...I hope :)
