Christmas Eve

This year's Christmas was sooo perfect. It was mainly just the four of us, and we stayed home ALL weekend. For lunch on Christmas Eve we went and got tamales from our favorite Mexican restaurant out in a small Hispanic community near our house. We followed that with a visit to see Miss Lola in the nursing home. She loved having the kids come over and visit her and they loved her too. Every time we drive by her place Logan will say, "Miss Lula house!"

After the nursing home, while Logan was taking a nap, Aaron and Calyn made a gingerbread house while I prepped our Christmas Eve dinner of appetizers and snacks.

Right before dinner the kids were able to open a few presents that obviously consisted of new, matching jammies and a stuffed Clarisse and Rudolph. The last thing we did was watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, put out some Rice Krispie treats for Santa, and put some "reindeer food" on the porch for Rudolph. It was pretty much a close-to-perfect day.

Your Christmas Eve sounded as perfect as it can get! Calm, easy going, I was never so organized, I'm proud of you! Love the gingerbread house and Calyn's concentration!
