A Day of Firsts
Last Sunday was a day of firsts for our little family. It was my first Mother's Day and Calyn's first Sunday at church. Aaron wasn't up two minutes before he comes out of the bedroom bearing gifts. He got me a MEGA candle (coffee can size!), a base to set it on, two Skor candy bars (which he traveled to another store to find because he knew those are my favorite), a beautiful card with the most sincerest message inside (it made me cry) and some ziplock bags of plaster. Yes, plaster. After church we made casts of Calyn's hands and feet. It was fun making those casts together. We're still attempting to make the perfect one---we just need more supplies (the ones below still need to be smoothed and cleaned up). It was a wonderful first Mother's Day. Oh, and Calyn did great at church. The noisiest she got was in Young Women's when she tooted up a storm and then loaded her pants, which made several of the girls giggle.

The plaster hands and feet are super cool. You'll have to give us some pointers on how to do that nifty project- not that we're copy cats or anything...;)
Those casts are wonderful!!!!
